Deed Restricted Community

Timbergrove Manor is a deed restricted community. Residents planning an exterior renovation, addition, or construction of a new residence should submit plans to the Design Review Committee prior to permitting. Please review the deed restrictions for the section where your property is located for more information.

Design Review Committee (DRC) approval is required PRIOR to submitting plans for permitting with the City of Houston (COH). DRC approval does not guarantee COH approval. Should COH, on another entity, require revision of plans, revised plans must be resubmitted for DRC final approval.

Please include the following with your submission:

  • property address

  • homeowner name and contact information

  • survey

  • site plan including

    • metes & bounds

    • all setbacks and easements indicated and labeled

    • all existing structures to remain or be demolished

    • footprint of new construction.

    • If the construction goes near, or adjacent to, building setback lines include dimensions indicating how close the construction is to the easement or setback.

  • floor plan(s)

  • exterior elevations

    • heights indicated for finish floor(s), roof eaves, and top of roofs

    • exterior finish materials labeled
      Stucco and EIFS are not finishes that were part of the Timbergrove design aesthetic, and are not acceptable as a finish material. Brick, stone, wood, and cementitious lap or board and batten siding (James Hardie materials or similar) are acceptable materials, as are some integral colored concrete masonry units

  • building sections

  • roof plan

  • any additional schematic or plan documents

We recognize this is an exciting time. Our volunteer committee works to review plans as quickly as possible. Please plan for a 30 day review period.

Solar Installations

In accordance with Texas House Bill 362, residents must follow the normal procedures for seeking improvements when planning to install solar devices.

Please include the following with your email submission:

  • property address

  • homeowner name and contact information

  • site plan(s)

    • roof plan

    • PV layout

  • any additional schematic or plan documents
