Block Captains Building Community

Spotlight on Seaspray Court

Neighbors on Seaspray Court, together known as “Team Seaspray,” are working to help build community on their block, with the help of Block Captain Marcy Cann. Marcy says that everyone knows each other by name – adults, children, even pets.  Perhaps that's because Seaspray Court hosts Seaspray Dines events regularly. Seaspray Dines hosts two annual dinner events: a Crawfish Boil and a Progressive Christmas Dinner. The Progressive Christmas Dinner includes Appetizers through the After Party, visiting 4 or 5 homes on the block annually.  Seaspray Dines also goes out to dinner at local restaurants as often as possible.

Even during Coronavirus time, the residents have gathered 6' apart almost every weekend – having had homemade ice cream as well as hot dogs.  The "Drink Truck" may have even come by! The Kiddos have enjoyed riding bicycles on the cul-de-sac. Most of the residents are working from home, and these gatherings help them connect and clear the cobwebs.

But, the most important aspect of Seaspray Court was expressed best by one of the newest residents, “The amazing support everyone on the block has for each other, the way everyone comes together for those in need, and the way you welcomed us and all the new neighbors to the street makes Seaspray Court feel like home for us now and forever. Seaspray Court really shines!” Thank you, Marcy and Team Seaspray, for all you do to help keep Seaspray Court connected!

In Memoriam

Team Seaspray lost an original homeowner in May this year—Joe Tusa died of natural causes at the age of 93. Joe was an active TMCC member and an important part of Seaspray. He was very involved with St. Theresa's Catholic Church.
