Hats off to the Sinclair Elementary PTO Dads Club! This Spring’s Crawfish Boil Fundraiser was a huge success thanks to the generosity of the neighborhood.

On Sunday, April 18, 682 pounds of crawfish were boiled up and served to drive- through orders, along with 92 servings of red beans and rice, and 102 servings of bread pudding.

In addition to the crawfish-to-go sales, the fundraiser offered raffle tickets for purchase for exciting prizes, including a spa package at the Houstonian hotel and gift baskets bursting with treats from local restaurants and wine shops. In all, the total funds raised exceeded $10,000, far surpassing the original goal of replacing the school cafeteria’s A/V equipment at $5,500. Because of the neighborhood’s generous support, the PTO will be able to fund additional projects this year.

The PTO Dads Club would like to thank its event sponsors—Mark Rafail of Rafail Insurance Agency, Memorial Hermann Hospital, Holly and Andre Butler, Velvet Taco, Crisp Restaurant, Timbergrove Terrace Community, Sinclair PTO, Jennifer and Long Le, Ann and Chad Pribyl, and Laura and Jeremy George—and everyone who supported this year’s event! We hope to be back with an in- person boil in 2022!
