Don’t Forget to PLAN:

Turn on your porch light tonight — and every night. The Porch Lights at Night (PLAN) initiative is an easy, affordable way to help make Timbergrove Manor as safe as possible for all of our residents. Do your part and flip the switch! 

Restart of the HPD-Sponsored Citizen Patrol:

The TMCC Neighborhood Security Committee is excited to have received more than 20 applications from residents willing to volunteer with the HPD-sponsored Citizen Patrol program. We continue to look for an appropriate date and a safe means of training! If you might be interested in giving a few hours a month to keeping our neighborhood safe through patrols let us know!

Until Citizen’s Patrol is restarted, please continue to watch out for your neighbors and their homes. Many of our residents will start to transition back into offices leaving homes more vulnerable. Those of us remaining at home can play a big part in detecting, reporting and deterring criminal activity. Report in-progress crimes to 911 and previously occurring activity to the HPD non-emergency number (713-884-3131).

Were those gunshots?

We’ve had an increasing number of gunshot-like sounds in the neighborhood. We reached out to HPD for guidance and the direction we received: Report it! If you perceive that you or anyone else may be in imminent danger always dial 911. Otherwise you should, at minimum, report suspected gunshots to the HPD non-emergency number (713-884-3131).

Increased Security Communications (Tips, Campaigns, Alerts, etc.): 

We hope the last few Timbergram articles on reporting crimes and wheel theft were useful to you. In this edition we are providing tips on security cameras. If you have an idea for an article that you would like for us to research and write about please let us know!
