Update: Re-Think Security

Submitted by TMCC Security Committee

Restart the HPD-Sponsored Citizen Patrol
The TMCC Neighborhood Security Committee was excited to receive more than 20 applications from residents willing to volunteer with the HPD-sponsored Citizen Patrol program. However, due to COVID-19 related social distancing precautions, the initial HPD training session for our first set of patrollers has been postponed. This means that you still have a chance to join our Citizens Patrol team and attend our first training session! In the interim, please continue to look out for your neighbors when home or out in the neighborhood.

Possible Trial Camera Installation
After researching cameras as a possible deterrent, the complexity, cost and liability outweigh the value the cameras might provide. We are instead considering a future security tips article on recommended home camera systems.

Super Neighborhood Security Team
This topic will be pursued further after the COVID-19 Stay Home orders are lifted.

Increased Security Communications (Tips, Campaigns, Alerts, etc.)
We hope the last Timbergram article will be a useful guide on reporting criminal activity. In this edition we are providing tips on wheel theft prevention. Have an idea for an article that you would like for us to research and write about?
