2018 Elections: Slate of Nominees Announced

The representatives of the Nominating Committee, as required and executed according to Article II Section 3 of the TMCC By-Laws, have created a slate of candidates we recommend to the dues paying and voting members of the Timbergrove Manor Civic Club.

As a committee, we are recommending the election of each of the following people based on the efficiency, effectiveness, and proven record of each individual. Each nominee has proven a desire to improve the neighborhood, from increased neighborhood activities, representation within local government, and broader awareness and contribution of the Timbergrove Manor Civic Club.  For these reasons we are recommending the reelection of the current officers and the election of three new directors.

Bill Morfey (President)

Bill Morfey has been a Timbergrove Manor Civic Club board member for the last ten years and lives on Wynnwood Lane in Section 6 with his wife, Idalia.  A graduate of the South Texas College of Law in downtown Houston, Bill is an attorney at a mid-sized law firm in the Galleria area where he has worked for fifteen years. He was honored in both 2007 and 2008 by being named A Texas “Rising Star” Super Lawyer, and has received accolades for obtaining large jury verdicts for his clients. Currently the 2017 TMCC President, Bill looks forward to continuing his work for the community. Bill is also currently a board member of the City Park/TIRZ 12 and is a past president of the Lazybrook/Timbergrove Super Neighborhood Council.  In his spare time, Bill enjoys baking, attending Houston Texans football games, and his hobby as a disc-jockey.

Leslie Hillendahl (Vice President)

I am currently a block captain for the 6200-6300 block of Wynnwood Lane, chairperson for the Beautification Committee along with my husband Brian Hillendahl and 2017 Vice President of the TMCC.  I have been very involved with our neighborhood and the TMCC since we moved here in 2003. Brian and I, along with our dogs, have lived in Timbergrove for more than fourteen years this November. Our son Graham is two and a half and loves playing with his neighborhood buddies. However, Timbergrove is not really a “new” home for me as I was born here over forty years ago on Woodbrook. I attended Texas A&M University where I received my Masters of Science degree in accounting. I obtained my J.D. in 2002 from South Texas College of Law. After almost 15 years as a litigation attorney, I recently joined a hedge fund as a senior legal analyst/counsel. In addition to my son, one of my other passions is animal rescue and I serve as President of a local all breed, non-profit animal rescue organization, Scouts Honor Rescue.

Peter Davies (Secretary)

Peter is a Licensed Professional Engineer and since 1991 has been employed by the Harris County Public Infrastructure Department, Architecture and Engineering Division. Projects designed and managed include roads, bridges, parks and other facilities. He received his BSA from the University of Florida in 1979, his MBA from the University of Houston in 1984 and his BSCE from the University of Houston in 1998. He has served on many boards in the past including: 3131 Cummins Lane HOA 1990-2005 and Dad’s Club FAC 2006-2008. Peter has lived in Timbergrove since 1988 and has served as the TMCC Secretary since 2010.

Sandra is our current TMCC treasurer and replaced Paige Ochterbeck when she moved to a new community.

She and her husband Kirk Guy live with their chihuahua Diego on Pineshade Ln. A native Texan, Jennifer moved to Houston from Beaumont to attend the University of St. Thomas more than 20 years ago and is the city’s self-proclaimed biggest fan. She enjoys Houston’s diverse and vibrant cultural arts and dining. Micah Heilbrun (Director)

Since 2015, I have lived in Timbergrove with my wife, Amy, and twin 3-year old boys.  This past July, we added our third son to our household on Queenswood Lane. As a family, we have a deep commitment to our community.  We enjoy having retirees, single professionals, young families and everyone in between as part of our extended Timbergrove neighborhood.  During Hurricane Harvey, we were fortunate to be able to assist neighbors in need and remain committed to living in Timbergrove Section 5.  My wife and I are both native Houstonians.  After a family move in 1988, I attended high school in Detroit, Michigan, played college football and lacrosse in Ohio and received my law degree at night while working for law firms in Detroit.  Following graduation, I moved to Austin in 2002 and returned to Houston in 2004 when Amy reminded me that “Houston is home.”  I work as in-house counsel for Exxon Mobil Corporation and my wife is an oil and gas title attorney for a small firm in the Galleria.    In our spare time, our family enjoys outdoor recreation, camping, hunting and sporting events.  We cheer for the Astros, Texans, Michigan football, Denison lacrosse and the Eagles (U.S. National Rugby team).

Crystal Neustadt (Director)

I am a native Houstonian and long time Timbergrove resident. I grew up on Woodhill in TMNA and am excited to be raising my family, along with my husband Jean III, on Kury Ln. After graduating from Texas Tech University, I worked for over 10 years as a Medical Nutritional Sales rep.  I have recently stepped away from the professional working world to work full time raising our four month old twins, Carter & Brynn.  Being an avid sports fan I spend many weekends rooting for my beloved Red Raiders, Houston Texans, Astros and Rockets.  My husband and I can also be found enjoying coastal fishing as well as hunting in the hill country.I am excited for the opportunity to become more involved in the community and support my neighbors.

Nominations can be made from the floor the evening of the election.
