HPD and Area Crime Stats

The August meeting began with a review of area crime statistics by HPD Officer Rene Ledesma and Officer Kenneth Bigger. Burglaries from Motor Vehicles (BMV’s) are up by 29%, SNC-14 area-wide, year-to-date and Auto Theft is up by 14%. Thieves are on the look-out for valuables left in vehicles, like laptops and purses, so take these things with you when you leave your vehicle.
