With a Heavy Heart…

Joseph (Joe) H. Parks

We were saddened to learn of long-time Grovewood Ln. resident Joe Park’s tragic death Oct 8. Joe was a generous, kind-hearted, and well-regarded neighbor and TMCC volunteer. He courteously handled Deed Restrictions inquiries for many years on behalf of the civic club.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Dolores, and many children and grandchildren. The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Theresa Catholic Church or the charity of one’s choice.

Lorraine Cherry & Dave Dyer

After Hurricane Harvey, many of our residents are making difficult decisions on whether to stay and rebuild or relocate. We were particularly saddened to learn Lorraine Cherry and Dave Dyer have sold their home and are moving outside of Timbergrove Manor. Both Dave and Lorraine have been active volunteers for many years and served on the Friends of West 11th Street Park (WESP) Board of Directors. Lorraine has been President of Friends of WESP for 18 years and has tirelessly served the TMCC as Director and chair of Environmental Affairs Committee. Her “Excellent Eats” restaurant review column has been a Timbergram favorite for many years!
